CHARACTERS

In my music video there are themes involved such as drug use, domestic violence and suicide. It is important to use the right characters to show the use of these themes. The music video will show 2 stories, one with a female character that is in college and experiences bullying and feeling alone, the other is a violent couple that love each other but are also harm to each other.

Character 1:
Name: College girl
Age: 17
Ethnicity: White
Gender stereotype: She is a female and considered vulnerable
Costume: Scarf, white jumper, skirt with tights
Hair & make up: Nude make up or none, hair in pony tail
Body language: Low self esteem, weak body language
Represented as: Someone who cannot stand up for herself and feels as if she cannot speak to anyone. she feels weak and defeated by her peers.
Role with music video: She is the college girl that gets bullied as a result of suicide.

Name: Male (in couple)

Ethnicity: Black Caribbean
Gender stereotype: Masculine, controlling, quick tempered, assertive
Costume: Shirtless, jeans
Hair & make up: None
Body language: Touchy, good posture, strong physique
Represented as: A controlling boyfriend, he loves her but has a quick temper and anger problem he cannot control. because of this he becomes abusive but feels guilty after.
Role with music video: He is apart of a couple where they both love each other however they start to get violent with each other.

Gender stereotype: vulnerable, emotional, weak, naïve
Costume: Tight vest top, boys boxers
Hair & make up: Long hair, normal make up, red lipstick, bruises
Body language: Vulnerable, attitude
Represented as: She is a young naïve girl who is so in love with her boyfriend she will forgive him no matter what happens.
Role with music video: Part of couple who are in love and intimate but then begin to argue and turn violent.
