Planning: Production roles

Chardelle's Production roles

  • Director: Chardelle was the director for our thriller that was created in AS. As a group we decided that Chardelle would work because of her assertive traits.
  • Hair & Make up: Chardelle is the only female in the group and is the only one who has experienced using make-up therefore it was sensible to give her this job.
  • Storyboard organiser: Because of being the role of director being in charge of storyboard came with that responsibility. This is because the director will know where people are standing, what shots are needed and what location we will use.

Jordan's Production roles

  • Lighting manager: Jordan has great experience with technical equipment and I think that he will do a great job with the use of lighting.
  • Camera operator: Last year Jordan was camera man, he did a good job at holding the camera still when hand held and created great frames.
  • Editor: Jordan helped edit last year so I believe he will do the same great job he did before as he has a great understanding of the software.

Lashane's Production roles

  • Photographer: My group choose me to be photographer because I have great skill of capturing a good shot.
  • Print design: Because I am the photographer I am the only one in the group that will understand what shots will work for the digi-pack and what shots might not.
  • Producer: I was chosen to be producer again because of my efforts last year to make sure that the filming process of our thriller ran smoothly. I believe my organisation skills will insure that the music video is a success.
  • Location manager: The music video will be filmed in my house and around my area so it makes sense for me to guide and show my team the locations.

Conclusion
All these roles have been distributed out to ensure that everything runs smoothly and in an orderly fashion. This has also been done so that every member of the group knows what is expected from them.

  1. Some good evidence of planning here by assigning roles which will help the group whilst out filming and editing, well done. You justify your group choices well by relating to skills and attributes each member of the group has and linking back to the foundation production. Make sure as a group you all stick these roles as it will help you in all your production/post-production stages.
